Chestor House provides services for approximately 40 people in managed residential settings in Boulder, and Jefferson counties in Colorado.
- The residential services are provided in host homes.
- Each location serves from one to three individuals.
- Our staff and host home providers teach daily living, personal care, socialization, and work-related skills.
Chestor House staff and host home providers work closely with each person they serve. The staff has expertise in responding to the special needs of individuals with autism, and with the challenging behaviors accompanying other developmental disabilities. We believe that behavior is often a method of communication, which helps us provide growth-oriented support services that focus on understanding, rather than changing, behavior.
We have on-staff nursing to monitor health and medical issues and also engage a team of outside specialists to provide support to the nursing and program staff. We work with a full set of professionals to provide a team approach to ensure each individual consumer's needs are met and to enhance their quality of life.
Maintaining a low ratio of clients to program managers allows us to give individualized care and ensures we provide the best support programs possible.
